LETTER OF THANKS
From Chairman of Board of Management of Petrolimex Petrochemicals Corporation (PLC)

Hanoi September 4th 2014

On the 4th of September 2014 Petrolimex Petrochemical Corporation (PLC) held a solemn ceremony to commemorate its 20th founding anniversary (9th June 1994- 9th June 2014) and to receive the Independence Medal 3rd Class - a lofty award granted by the Party and the state.

The joy of the collective officers and workers of PLC was multiplied with the presence and congratulation of representatives of the Party, the state, government, ministries and branches, the Petrolimex group together with distinguished guests from various local offices, authorities, customers, shareholders, reporters and mass media.

This is a great encouragement for PLC staff of officers and workers to steadily move forward to a new phase of development.

Proceeding from the strategic orientation of Vietnam National Petroleum Group since the 90s “ Take oil business as the mainstream, step up the production and business of petrochemical products, develop the fleet of ocean tankers to ensure the oil supply source, all on the basis of putting human resources at the core…” on June 9th 1994 the Lubricants Company – now Petrolimex Petrochemicals Corporation (PLC) was established in a very difficult situation in terms of infrastructure.

With an ardent desire to produce Petrolimex lubricants bearing Vietnamese brand name to service national economic development requirement, over the past 20 years, PLC has tried its best and has become the pioneer to get access to and apply modern scientific technology and technique, advanced management system, materializing major policies of the Party, the state, the government, the ministry of industry and trade, and Petrolimex group.

Starting from a small oil refining workshop , PLC now has two lubricant plants at two ends of the country with a capacity of 100,000tons per year of international quality standard.

From the blending of lubricants and greases, PLC at present expands to bitumen, chemicals and other products in line of petroleum and gas.

From supplying to requirement at home, PLC products bearing Vietnamese brands are present in regional markets.

PLC is confident to go on par with world enterprises of the same sector and product lines.

In the process of development over the past 20 years, PLC has always appreciated and sincerely thanked leaders of the Party and state, various authorities, branches and localities, chiefly Vietnam National Petroleum Group for their keen attention, timely and positive support , and next to that, generations of PLC officers and workers with their professional skill and dedication to build the enterprise and produce shining PLC products, partners, customers and suppliers for PLC at home and abroad for their support, understanding and cooperation, aiming at developing and moving further with PLC.

This is a strong boost for PLC in Petrolimex formation to continue our bigger and bigger contribution to national development, ensuring energy security for the country and in cooperation for development in the spirit of moving further.
